Kavinder visits GMC, enquires about condition of firing victims

Jammu, June 6: Speaker Legislative Assembly and MLA from Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Kavinder Gupta visited Government Medical College  to inquire about the condition of the youths injured in firing incidence which occurred at Ranibagh area.
Gupta while expressing anguish over the loss of precious human life said, the security forces are entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining law and order but at the same time they should strictly adhere to standard operating procedure. Security forces should exercise maximum restraint while dealing with situations like this to avoid any loss to human life, he added.
Gupta condoled the death of the youth and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased youth Jagjit Singh and urged the people to maintain communal harmony and don’t get swayed by the antinational and mischievous designs of vested interests who want to communalize the situation.
He appealed that every citizen should maintain calm and try to bring peace and tranquility back in the area. He further extended his sympathies to the injured policeman also.
He announced that the medical expenses of the injured youths will be borne by him and their treatment will be done in one of the premiere medical institute in Amritsar. The inquiry of this unfortunate incident will be completed in time found manner and will be done  with utmost sincerity and honesty and the culprits will be booked as per the law, he added.
