DC Reasi stresses on time bound public service delivery

REASI, June 6: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sushma Chauhan today asked the line departments to ensure time-bound and   effective services to the people.
The Deputy Commissioner was speaking at a meeting convened to discuss and deliberate on the ways and means to improve upon the delivery system in the district.
In the meeting discussions were held to work towards effective public service delivery while  weekly review of progress of all departments was also held.
Chauhan said that  it must be earnest and sincere effort of  District Administration Reasi to provide people with the best in every sector, ranging from  education to healthcare, public delivery system, better roads etc.
She stressed that the officers should give their best and work sincerely with the sense of belonging and responsibility for the sake of the people. She also hoped that the officers will comply with Right to Information Act and switchover to e-governance in their offices.
While giving directions, she said that temporary arrangements should be made when any Government official or staff goes on leave so as to ensure that public work may not suffer.    She added that the weekly review meeting will help in timely response to the needs/issues projected by the people besides resolving bottlenecks, if any.
Meanwhile, issues like disposal of complaints received at single window grievances cell, water and electricity supply, and development on ongoing projects of PWD, PMGSY, and PHE were comprehensively taken into account.  Municipalities and their functioning with special focus on drainage and sanitation and performance of education was also discussed in detail.
