JAMMU, June 6: A deputation of Provincial Sheep and Wool Workers’ Association (PSWWA), Jammu led by its convener Rajinder Singh Pawar, president, Ashok Badyal and general secretary, Narinder Singh Dard met Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu, and submitted a memorandum of demands.
The demands enlisted in the memorandum included revival of feeding centres, two and a half day extra pay in lieu of SRO-86, enhancement of rent of Sheep Centres, purchase of standard quality drugs, procurement of timely vaccines, creation of posts of Section Officers, Head Assistants, ALOs and Senior Lab Technicians, framing of transfer policy and confirmation of Junior Steno or Junior Assistants already working in OPG and filling up of all vacant posts.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured early redressal of its demands.
Later, a meeting of executive body of the association was held wherein members from all the ten districts were nominated and included in the Central Working Committee. The nominated members are Ghulam Nabi and CP Sharma from Rajouri, Sagar Chand from Udhampur, Rafiq Ahmed Malik from Poonch, Kewal Krishan from Samba, Brij Mohan from Reasi, Shamas Din Wani from Ramban, Pawan Kumar from Jammu, Sunil Kumar from Kishtwar, Gopal Krishan and Gotam Singh from Kathua and Mohd Sharief from Doda.
