JAMMU, June 7: A youth hailing from Himachal Pradesh today drowned in river Tawi here near Sidhra bridge.
According to a police spokesperson, the youth has been identified as Mohd Aslam (25) son of Mohd Haneef of Himachal Pradesh. He said the deceased youth along with some other youth had gone to take a bath in river Tawi near Sidhra bridge. Originally hailing from Himachal Pradesh, the youth had come here at one of his relative’s house in Sidhra area of city outskirts, few days back.
The body of the deceased was later retrieved by the police with the help of locals and shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital for completing medico-legal formalities.
