‘Govt trying to undo corrupt practices unleashed in State’

JAMMU, June 8: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Abdul Hamid Choudhary, today said coalition Government in the State is working on rebuilding the defunct lying system, restoring its credibility and ensuring accountability in the governance so that people could get justice delivered.
He said that previous regime had completely shattered the system of governance and encouraged corrupt practices to benefit a chosen few and now this Government is trying to reverse that trend only to bring in an order into the working system.
The past three months, he said were aimed at fulfilling aspirations of common masses and all the steps initiated towards that change are clearly visible on the ground.
Besides work on four-laning of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway as well as improvement in road stretch from Thannamandi to Buffliaz has been taken up with Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and work on the projects has expedited.
