SRINAGAR:Working president of Jammu and Kashmir’s main opposition party National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah took a jibe at Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for observing silence on completion of 100 days in office in the State.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government had completed 100 days in office yesterday. A senior minister from PDP had criticised Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, representing BJP government in the state, for his remarks that Rs 3,600 crore compensation was enough for food victims of September last year.
However, there was no press conference or statement from the government on completing the 100 days. Mr Abdullah in a tweet said, “The resounding silence from Mufti Syed and his allies upon completing 100 days in office today speaks volumes for their achievements.”
However, the former Chief Minister got sharp reaction for his tweet as one of the tweet said,You were thrown out 100 days back……….so shut up plzzâ.
Another tweet said, Silence on Ur six years rule also deserved some words.u don’t have anything really. Don’t u? A tweet said, “Maybe they don’t take a ‘quarterly’ outlook to performance unlike Corporate India?”
while another said We celebrate this day as a day of throwing out most incompetent govt frm power corridors. No corrupt faces now atleast.
Mr Abdullah during his press conference yesterday described the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed-led coalition government as a U-Turn government on almost all issues, the PDP had promised before the Assembly elections. However, on 100 days of completion in office, a senior minister from PDP Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari criticised Mr Singh’s remarks that Rs 3,600 crore were enough for flood victims.
Mr Bukhari urged BJP deputy Chief minister to “desist from making irresponsible statements”. Mr Singh had said recently that an amount of Rs 3,600 crore was sufficient for rehabilitation of flood victims in Kashmir. However, Mr Bukhari said such comments will create confusion among the flood victims. He said the state government had sought Rs 44,000 crore package for the rehabilitation of flood victims in the state. (AGENCIES)
