NEW DELHI, June 9: Mentha oil prices rose Rs 13 to Rs 991.40 per kg in futures trade today, supported by strong demand from consuming industries at the spot market.
Besides, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced prices.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July edged higher by Rs 13, or 1.32 per cent, to Rs 991.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 436 lots.
The prices for delivery in June also rose Rs 12.70, or 1.31 per cent, to Rs 974.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,443 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot market on firm industrial and export demand too swayed mentha oil prices in futures trade here. (PTI)
