JAMMU, June 11: The Chinore Farm’s Land Owners Association has expressed the hope that the Department of Agriculture will keep its promise by disbursing the rent from next year also at Gajansoo, as was done for the first time this year.
A meeting of the Association was held today under the chairmanship of its president Ravinder Singh Rahwal in which the members expressed their pleasure that they have been saved from a lot of trouble by the Department of Agriculture after disbursing the rent at Gajansoo otherwise the old people and ladies had to visit a distance of eight to 10 kilomteres from their village to Chinore farm in collecting the rent.
Omkar Singh Choudhary demanded that this should become a precedence for future also so that the villagers are saved from trouble.
