JAMMU, June 12: In the much-publicized disappearance of a minor domestic help from the residence of Judicial Officer, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Janak Raj Gupta today granted three weeks time to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by SSP Jammu for filing updated status report.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Senior AAG S S Nanda informed the Division Bench that SSP Jammu has issued an order on June 11, 2015 constituting a Special Investigating Team headed by SDPO City South with SHO P/S Bahu Fort, Incharge PP Narwal and PSI Showkat Amin of P/S Bahu Fort as its members for carrying out investigation in the case.
Senior AAG also forwarded a copy of the status report to the Division Bench highlighting the steps taken to trace the missing domestic help. However, Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat, petitioner in person, submitted that more than two months have elapsed but there was no clue of the missing boy. She submitted that a short time may be given to the SIT to trace the missing boy.
After considering the submissions of both the sides, Division Bench granted three weeks time to the newly formed SIT to come out with the updated status report.
