Nickel, lead soften on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, June 13:  Prices of nickel and lead declined by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals traded in a tight range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries and a weak global trend mainly put pressure on nickel and lead prices.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4×4) declined by rs 2 to Rs 1,013-1,018 per kg. Lead ingot and lead imported were also enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 106 and Rs 107 per kg respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg): Zinc ingot Rs 116-122, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 1,013-1,018, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 410, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 106, Lead imported Rs 107, Aluminium ingots Rs 158, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 159, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 161 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 158. (PTI)
