Jammu, June 13: One day awareness programme was organized by J&K SC, ST, OBC Development Corporation Ltd. at Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar today.
Member of National Commission Safai Karamcharies Vijay Kumar was the ghief guest on the occasion. He discussed in detail the various issues pertaining to the Socio-economic development of Safai Karamcharies and stressed for the coordinated effects between, the State Administration and Civil Society to address the issue pertaining to this community.
Kumar also issued on the sport instruction to spot the problems of sanitation and health during his visit to the Valmiki Basti. He directed the district administration to take extra health issues of those who are engaged in unhealthy, occupation.
ADDC Anu Radha Gupta, District Manager SC, ST, OBC Development Corporation Joginder Paul, Secretary JMC and representative of the community also spoke on the occasion.
