KATHUA, June 15: Lakhanpur Police arrested a two wheeler lifter and recovered four motorcycles and a scooty from his possession.
Police on a tip off arrested one Amandeep Singh S/o Deedar Singh of Muradian R S Pura and recovered five two wheelers from his possession.
According to police a FIR was registered in Lakhanpur Police Station in February this year regarding lifting of one motor cycle from Toll Plaza and the police was on a look out for the bike lifter.
After its thorough investigation in the matter the police through its source managed to reach the bike lifter and he was arrested today. After a police party under the supervision of SHO Lakhanpur raided the area. On investigation the bike lifter said that he had stolen four motor cycles and one scooty and they were lying at different locations.
Later Police recovered all the five two wheelers and brought them to Lakhanpur PS. The Police has asked the people who have made complaints about the theft of their two wheelers to visit the Lakhanpur PS for identification of the same.
