RAMBAN, June 17: Ramsoo police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 16 years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Ramsoo police station conducted a raid and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since1999.
The accused has been identified as Makhna, son of Sain alias Mian Bakerwal of Arnas, district Reasi, at present Mohu, tehsil Banihal.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 119/1999 under Section 379 RPC with police station Ramsoo.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Ramsoo police station Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
