JAMMU, June 17: Two co-passengers were found in an unconscious condition in a Chandigarh-Jammu bus here at Bus Stand area falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police Station.
According to a police spokesperson, the victims have been identified as Tariq Ahmed (30) son of Ali Mohd, a resident of Devsar and Abdul Khalid Bhat son of Gulam Bhat, a resident of Shopian.
He said they were found unconscious by the conductor of the bus when it reached Jammu Bus Stand. On getting information a police team from Nowabad police station reached the spot and shifted the unconscious men at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where they were still unfit for statement.
A case in this regard has been registered at Nowabad police station and further investigations started. According to the police sources, as the wallet of both the victims were missing there is every possibility that they were given some poisonous substance by any co-passenger.
