AISF pays tributes to Comrade Dhanwantri

JAMMU, June 19: The State unit of All India Students Federation today paid its rich tributes to Comrade Dhanwantri, a great freedom fighter of J&K, here at Comrade Dhanwantri Park in Trikuta Nagar.
He was one and only from J&K who actively participated in the Country’s Independence Movement till India got independence from British Imperialism. He was one of the close associates of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Comrade Dhanwantri was born on March 7, 1902 in Jammu. He passed its matriculation from SR High School Jammu and then joined Lahore College to study Ayurveda. While studying he joined the revolutionary movement and dedicated his life for the cause of Indians for getting freedom from the British yoke.
In Independent India, he remained Political Advisor to First Prime Minister of J&K. He breathed his last on July 13, 1953 at his native place Jammu.
AISF members remembered his contribution and saluted him for his legendary work.
