JKAACL’s Drama Festival: Savrang Kala Sangam stages ‘Haadsa Haqeekat’

REASI, June 19: On the 2nd day of District Drama Festival being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) here at NHPC Auditorium, Jyotipuram, “Haadsa Haqeekat” in Dogri was presented by Savrang Kala Sangam, Reasi.
The play, in Hindi, is written by Vikram Sharma and translated in Dogri by Umesh Singh. The play was presented under the direction of Rajesh Ajnabi, a renowned theatric and director of Reasi.
The play revolves around four characters. Every character is equally connected to each other but are having different mind-set. The central character of the play Rahul Sinha is totally disturbed because of his profession and is having thoughts about his previous life. He is looking for something but when he comes across it, he is totally lost and is in state of broken identity.
His father Dharam Pal Sinha is not actually his father for real but actually he’s the son of one Shekhar Gupta. The latter has ditched Sinha and grabbed all the property of former. Shekhar has also illegal relations with Rahul’s mother, Malti Sinha.
Same is the case with Divya Sinha who formerly used to be Rahul’s beloved but has become his wife now. Rahul gets shocked when he comes to know about his real father and then splits up in two personalities, the one who is right now and the other one of Shekhar Gupta.
On seeing this multi dimensional identity of Rahul, Divya tries to bring him back to common life by telling him that he’s going to become father soon. But Rahul doesn’t seem to bother and says that he needs to find himself.
Haadsa, Haqeekat is a compulsion with every living being which all the four entities bounded to each other in a family of Sinha’s have to undergo in a spine chilling subject. They unfurl on proscenium.
The artists who performed were Rajesh Ajnabi, Meenu Sharma, Sahiba Bashir, Tarun Sharma and Mahi Sharma.
The music was given by Madhu Sharma, Make-up by Umesh Singh, Costumes by Sunita AK Thakur and Set was designed by Nikhil Singh. In the play, Raj Kumar acted as production controller and Gautam Singh assisted in direction.
