Muskan, Mayank emerge winners in modelling contest

JAMMU, June 20: In the mesmerizing modeling contest held today at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Narwal, the budding models of Jammu set the ramp on fire. Muskan Rajput was adjudged as No 1 and ‘Face of the Year 2015’ in the female category while Mayank Andotra was ‘Face of the Year 2015’ and winner in the male category.
In the female category, charismatic Ashima Sharma was the first runner up and Priyanka Pandita, the second. In the male category, Pushpinder finished first runner up and Khushwant Behl, the second.
The event was organized jointly by 4frNZ in collaboration with The Performers, an NGO. While the models walked on the ramp, the audience were on their feet, enjoying every moment of the keenly contested competition.
Judges had a tough time as all the contestants, maintaining high professional standards from the very beginning, presented themselves in a confident and composed manner. All of them were at their best during the question-answer session.
The event was judged by Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan, Jammu, International Model, Faizan Tak, senior journalist, Bharat Bhushan, Northern Railway Advisory Board Member, Nitish Mahajan , eminent artist, Kusum Tickoo and Harinder, Mr Singh 2014.
Legislative Assembly Speaker, Kavinder Gupta, was the chief guest while Kisan Advisory Board vice-chairman, Daljeet Singh Chib, presided over the function. Sohail Kazmi, editor-in-chief of Daily Taskeen, an Urdu Daily of J&K, was the guest of honour.
The event, which was highly appreciated by different sections of society, was conceived by renowned State artist and The Performer’s president Urja Singh, who is also vice-president of All Artist Welfare Association.
Muskan and Milind also bagged the Best State Costume award in their respective categories.
While the dresses were designed by NIFD and Perfect Outfits, makeup section was handled by Unisex, The Body Retreat. Beverages were provided by Bangs and Grill Inn and video and photography were done by A-8 productions, R S Video, Ryan photography, Ramp designing by Trived and decoration part of Kaveri and powered by Vodafone.
The Brand Ambassador of Pepe Jeans, Vikram Rajwal was the modelling choreographer.
