SRINAGAR, June 26: Suresh Chandra, Member, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), New Delhi, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Chandra briefed the Governor about the steps initiated by the Commission for promotion and protection of consumers’ rights. The Governor and Mr. Chandra discussed issues relating to the high importance of providing inexpensive, speedy and summary redressal of consumers’ grievances.
They also discussed issues relating to the functioning of quasi judicial bodies set up for the purpose at the district and State levels.
