Kavinder inspects various ongoing works in Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU, June 26: Speaker, State Assembly and MLA from Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Kavinder Gupta today visited various areas of his Constituency and inspected ongoing developmental projects including Gangyal , Digiana, Greater Kailash and took stock of the status of the works.
He was accompanied by Baldev Singh Billoria, Sat Pal Chowdhary, Ludramani Sharma, Ch. Harbans, Jyoti Parkash, Ranjeet Singh, Er. Ashwani Khosla and officers of the JMC, PWD(R&B), PDD and PHE.
While inspecting the work for cleaning of the deep drains at Gangyal, Greater Kailash, Gupta instructed the concerned agencies to speed up the work and complete in time so that the people don’t have to suffer during Monsoons. He directed the authorities to remove the garbage so that the water doesn’t get blocked due to the same.
While interacting with the locals at various places, the Speaker appealed the people to keep the nerves cool and there is nothing serious to panic as the entire administration is working round the clock for completing these projects and they will not face any problems during the upcoming rainy season.
Taking a dig at the previous Government the Speaker said that it is only because of the in seriousness of the previous MLA, the residents of these areas had to suffer heavy losses during the September 2014 floods.
He inspected the ongoing works on the Nallah at Channi Himmat, Trikuta Nagar and Gangyal and asked the officers of the ERA to ensure that no compromise is done with the quality while executing the works and it is completed within the stipulated time.
