Pedestrian held with illicit liquor

JAMMU, June 27: Kanachack police nabbed a pedestrian and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from Dheyaran area.
As per police sources, a team from Kanachack police station laid a naka at Dheyaran and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 43 pouches of illicit liquor and nabbed the pedestrian on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Amarjeet Singh alias Bunty, son of Kirpal Singh of Mishriwala.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to distribute among the masses of his area for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 78/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against him at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack police station Rakesh Singh Jamwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Surinder Sharma and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
