JAMMU, June 30: Awami National Conference (ANC) reacting to water logging on roads with first monsoon rain in Jammu has said that monsoon rains that started on Monday have exposed the tall claims made by departments concerned and the district Government about sanitation and cleanliness.
ANC provincial president, S Gian Singh expressing utter disappointment over poor preparedness of concerned authorities to deal with monsoon season ahead said, the authorities claimed that all the nullahs and drains of the city have been cleared of silt and solid waste and there is no danger of flood in the current monsoon season, but the heavy rain on Monday exposed the tall claims of arrangements in several areas of the city, which were submerged in rainwater. The rainwater choked the entire drainage system mainly in the low-lying areas and several roads.
