SRINAGAR, June 30: An Introductory meeting of Department Related Standing Committee (DRSC)-IV was held today under the chairmanship of Vibodh Gupta in the Council Secretariat.
The members of the committee, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone and Surinder Choudhary and other senior officers of Council Secretariat attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussion was held on functioning of Tourism, Horticulture, Medical Education, Home and Transport Departments.
The Committee decided to examine the records of Tourism Department especially the facilities being provided to the tourists at various destinations in the State.
The proposal for starting Gandola at various places in the State and the status of various ongoing tourist projects at Bagh-e-Bahu, Patnitop and Makdum Sahab were also discussed in the meeting.
