Help desk set up for inoperative Provident Fund Accounts

JAMMU, June 30: Provident Fund Commissioner Vipra Bhal inaugurated a help desk for inoperative accounts of Provident Fund Subscribers at EPFO Building, Rail Head Complex, Jammu. Additional Provident Fund Commissioner, Jammu Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner, Jammu, Incharge District Offices and staff members were present on the occasion.
The main objectives to create the INOPERATIVE ACCOUNTS HELP DESK is to inform those subscribers who do not withdraw their Provident Fund due to old-age, death, marriage, shifting of their locations etc, and thus their P.F. accumulations cease to earn interest after three years and their accounts become inoperative.
All those Provident Fund Subscribers, whose accounts have become inoperative due to Nil transaction for three years and therefore not earning any interest can avail assistance  to close their Provident Fund Accounts or get the balances transferred to their existing operative accounts within 30 days during office hours from tomorrow.
