JAMMU, June 30: The Government today constituted the State Committee and Apex Committee for the implementation of Digital India Programme.
As per a Government order issued here today by the General Administrative Department, the State Committee will be headed by Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayed as its chairman while it will have Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, Minister of Finance, Haseeb Drabu, Minister of Information Technology and Chief Secretary as its members.
The Administrative Secretary Information Technology Department will be its member convenor. The State Committee has been constituted to provide Government services to the people electronically.
The Apex Committee which was constituted to monitor the implementation of Digital India Programme and resolve inter departmental issues at the State level will be headed by Chief Secretary as its Chairman.
The other members of the Committee included Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Administrative Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Administrative Secretary Finance Department and Administrative Secretary General Administrative Department, as its members.
The Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department will be its Member Secretary, while Administrative secretaries of departments taking up e-governance projects, State Information Officer, NIC, J&K and Domain/ Technical experts will be as its special invitees.
