JAMMU, June 30: The traders of the West constituency held a protest rally, demanding resignation of the MLAs and staged dharna against the BJP-PDP Government and the PWD R&B, JMC and ERA for the worst condition of the Jammu city roads, today.
Addressing the protesters Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement  demanded directions to the all departments in meeting scheduled to be held on July 2, for redressal of demands.
Sunil Dimple threatened to call for “Jammu Band” in case this road tax of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI)  is not stopped.
Dimple urged for improving traffic problem in Jammu city which is worsening day by day. He demanded for construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewal Chowk.
Dimple  urged the JMC,  Commissioner to find way and means to find flow of rain water which enters in shops, residential houses, due to choked drains and worst condition of the main roads to meet the challenges of the coming rains.
He also demanded immediate black topping work otherwise the agitation will be intensified and the Government will be responsible for this.
Sunil Dimple announced for indefinite agitation for the above demands and for the opening of the AIIMS in Jammu region, till the official order from the Union Health Ministry and PMO office is received and the foundation stone of the AIIMS is laid down. He out rightly rejected the assurance of the group of Ministers of 20 July.
