SRINAGAR, July 1: Governor, N.N Vohra, who is Chairman Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, today visited the Yatra Control Room which also has a helpline facility and is located in the office of Shri Jitendra Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board.
P.K Tripathi, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board informed the Governor that the helpline was functional from 9.30 am to 6 pm on all weekdays during June 15-30, 2015. From July, 1 the Helpline has started functioning round the clock, till the conclusion of the Yatra.
CEO stated that interested pilgrims can also gather Yatra related information through Shrine Board’s website by logging on to www.shriamarnathjishrine.com and also send e-queries on-line through e-mail onsasbjk2001@gmail.com
As the Yatra is commencing from July 2, 2015. It is the duty of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board to enable intending Yatris to be suitably informed about the Yatra arrangements.
CEO also informed that the rates of various services for Yatra as duly approved by the concerned departments of State Government have been uploaded on the web-site of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. The rates for Ponies, Pithoos, Dandies, Tents, rent of Prefabricated huts, ration items and SRTC buses are also available on the site. The notified rates for ponies (one way) from Chandanwari to Holy Cave, Panjtarni to Holy Cave and from Baltal to Holy Cave are Rs 2800, Rs 1100 and Rs 2200 respectively, and for Pithoos from Chandanwari to Holy Cave, Panjtarni to Holy Cave and from Baltal to Holy Cave are Rs 1750, Rs 600, and Rs 1210, respectively.
The fare chargeable by SRTC buses from Jammu-Pahalgam and vice-versa for Hi-Tech / Super Deluxe buses is Rs 525, for Deluxe buses Rs 431, and for Semi-Deluxe buses Rs 314, and similarly from Jammu-Baltal and vice-versa fare for Hi-Tech / Super-deluxe buses Rs 713, for Deluxe buses Rs 588, and for Semi-Deluxe buses Rs 507, as notified by the J&K State Road Transport Corporation.
