12 bovines seized, 2 smugglers arrested

JAMMU, July 1:  As a part of drive against bovine smuggling, Thannamandi police rescued 12 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers in this connection.
Reports said a police party led by  SHO,  Narinder Singh Chib under the supervision of SDPO Iftqar Talib during naka at Churang bridge near Begonad village intercepted a truck no. JK-11 / 2388 and found 12 bovine animals loaded in it. The animals were being smuggled to Kashmir valley via Mughal Road. The police seized the truck along with animals and arrested two persons in this connection.
They were identified as Mohd Sadeeq, son of  Sai and Zaffar Iqbal, son of Mir Hussain, resident of Behrote. A case FIR No. 94/ 2015 was registered against them.
