Child killed, 6 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, Aug 16: A child died and six others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo number JK09/2707 skidded off the road at Kashera-Zangli, Kupwara, resulting in on spot death of a child Syed Farhan, aged four years, son of Mehraj-ud-Din resident of Kashera and injuries to four passengers.
All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Truck JK13/4602 turned turtle near Khrew octroi Pampore, resulting in injuries to driver Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, son of Mohammad Khalil resident of Khrew.
The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tanker bearing registration number JK02U/0147 carrying army supply from Bandipora to Gurez rolled down from the road near Koragbal-Gurez, resulting in injuries to driver Sunil Kumar, son of Madan Kumar resident of Dharamthal-Chenani.
The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
