SRINAGAR, July 4:
A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her son over some minor dispute in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said a woman was critically injured after she was allegedly attacked by her son following a heated argument at their home in Lalan in Anantnag. The woman was immediately taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
“She was at her parents’ house for the last couple of months. Few days back her son came and took her to their home in Lalan. Today, we heard that she was stabbed and killed by him”, the deceased woman’s sister alleged. “They took her to their house to kill her”, she alleged.
Sources said a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused, who is still at large. “We have registered a case and initiated investigation. The initial investigation reveals that the woman was stabbed by her son over a family dispute”, DSP Anantnag Gowhar Hussain said.
“Some arrests have been made while a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the main accused”, he added. (UNI)
