Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha to hold protest on Aug 21

JAMMU, Aug 16: On the call given by All India Brahmin Association, Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha is also going to hold dharna on August 21 outside Bhagwan Parshuram Bhawan Brahmin Sabha, Parade.
This was disclosed by Ved Prakash Sharma, president of the Sabha, during a press conference here today.
He said that All India Brahmin Association is going to hold dharna across India against some politicians for introducing a bill in the Parliament on August 22 for enactment a law to grant reservation in promotions to employees of a particular class in Government and public sector.
Sharma added that there is need of opposing such dangerous move, which is aimed at dividing the society and diluting the spirit of the Constitution and rule of law.
He said that Sabha will approach other biradaries to join the mass dharna on August 21, adding that many biradaries have already assured full support to the Sabha.
He demanded that one time reservation policy should continue that too only for economically backward classes at the time of their recruitment.
Among others present were Virender Mohan Magotra, vice president, Shakti Dutt Sharma, general secretary, Sat Pal Sharma, secretary and Ram Pal Sharma, cashier.
