Omar Abdullah visits Beerwah

Beerwah, July 6: National Conference Working President and MLA Beerwah, Omar Abdullah today visited Beerwah constituency and held extensive interactions with various public delegations who apprised him of local public issues and grievances.
Omar Abdullah gave the public delegations a patient hearing and took note of those public issues that were brought to his notice. He assured the visiting delegations that the macadamisation and widening of the Magam-Beerwah-Budgam road was his priority and he would ensure that work on this is started at the earliest possible instance. The NC Working President informed the visiting delegations that he had vociferously raised the issue of the Magam-Beerwah-Budgam road in the District Development Board (DDB) meeting for Budgam District, following which the Government had said it was committed to taking work up on the road on a priority basis.
At Magam, Omar Abdullah also visited the residence of renowned, prominent citizen, Professor Qasim Ali who passed away recently. He expressed his heartfelt condolence with the bereaved family and offered Fateha. He was accompanied by his political secretary Tanvir Sadiq and NC leader, Professor Mattoo.
