SRINAGAR, July 6: A man was found dead in a stream in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district last evening police said.
A police spokesman identified the deceased as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, resident of Sofi Mohalla Katiyar in Chadoora. His body was recovered from from Nalla Katiyar.
“After conducting all medico-legal formalities police handed over the body of deceased to his relatives for last rites,” the spokesman said, adding, a case under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of the death has been registered.
