SRINAGAR, July 6: The State Government has exempted the SKIMS Srinagar to pay entry tax for the procurement of machinery and equipment, chemicals, reagents, diagnostic kits and other surgical items imported into the State.
An officials spokesman said that the Government has given this concession to the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura Srinagar only, subject to the condition that Director SKIMS shall issue a certificate giving full particulars of the supplier, the specifications/ quality of equipments/ chemicals etc. and which shall be made available in original to the notified Commercial Taxes check post, through which the import is being made.
