BJP Kashmir for settlement of migrants’ problems

JAMMU, July 6: Various issues confronting the displaced Kashmiri Pandits were discussed at a meeting of BJP Kashmir Displaced Unit here, today that was held under the presidenthsip of its general secretary, Virender Kuchroo.
The meeting demanded that the present problems being faced by the displaced Pandits be settled immediately. Addressing the meeting Kuchroo said that all the issues were discussed in detail with Commissioner /Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation by a team of the party and he was urged to make the issuance of bifurcation of ration cards, fresh registrations and issuance of PRCs simple.
The meeting was held in connection with Party’s Maha Samparak Abhiyan. Addressing the meeting BJP displaced unit president T N Bhat said that displaced Unit of the party fully backs the one place settlement of Pandits in Valley and the work on construction of quarters for migrant employees at various places in Valley will be started soon. Besides, the work on over 800 TRTs will also be started at Purkhoo soon, he added.
He said the process for employment of 3000 more youth will also begin soon as the issue has been taken up by the Party with both Central and State governments.
Kuchroo, while expressing concern over the state of Hindu religious shrines in Valley demanded immediate passage of shrines Bill and compensation to over aged youth and traders. He also demanded that the migrants putting up at Udhampur be issued ration with out any hurdle.
The meeting among others was addressed by Veena Gurto, Makhan Lal, Ashok Bhat, Bansi Bhat, Satish Pandita, Makhan Lal Bhat, Suresh Pandita, A K Pandita and Raja Ji and Vijay Kumar.
