Theft in jewelers shop at Jain Bazar

JAMMU, July 7: Thieves struck a jewelers shop at Jain Bazar and escaped with gold and silver ornament worth lakhs of rupees.
Police sources said that Vikas  Verma,  a resident of Trikuta Nagar,  who is owner of Shakuntala jeweller at Jain Bazaar, lodged a  complain at  Pacca Danga Police Station that today in the morning when he came to his shop, he found all the locks were broken and ornaments had been  stolen from almirahs.
He also claimed that burglars escaped with 60 gm s gold and 2.5 kg silver along with some other items.
Police has registered a case and started investigation. However no had yet been made in this connection.
