DC Leh assesses situation in Nubra, Khaltse sub-divisions

LEH, July 9: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Saugat Biswas chaired a meeting to assess the increase in water flow in streams due to rise in temperature in last few days. He took the assessment of the present situation in Nubra and Khaltse sub-divisions and gave directions to the concerned authorities for channelization of vulnerable areas like Diskit, Hunder, Tia and other villages.
He further gave directions for raising the matter with Army also for the areas falling under them.
On the orders of Deputy Commissioner, the officials of Revenue, Rural and SDRF have been kept alert to face any unforeseen calamity.
District Superintendent of Police Leh Dr. Sunil Gupta, CMO Leh Phunchok Angchuk, ACR Leh, ACD Leh, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, PDD, Irrigation & Flood Control, and Construction and other concerned officials were also present in the meeting.
