KATHUA, July 10: The polling for GPC elections which was held on Wednesday across the district registered an overall turnout of 71.02 per cent in Kathua.
According to Returning Officer Atul Gupta (ACR Kathua) out of total 7099 votes ,5042 votes were polled in which 2514 male voters and 2528 female voters cast their vote to elect their candidate.
As per the results declared by the Returning Officer, Madan Singh won from 1-Taraf Bhajwal, Surinder Singh from 2-Lakhanpur, Jagbir Singh from 3-Barmora ward no 14 , Daljeet Singh from 4-Chak Sakta, Amrik Singh from 5-Jakhbar, Dalip Singh from 6 -Taraf Tajwal, Charanjeet Singh from 7-Kathua, Harjit Singh from 8-lakh Lachipura, Avtar Singh from 9-Khanpur, Kuldeep Singh from 10-Marheen and Navjet Singh from 11-Hardo Muthi constituency.
