A deputation of "National Federation of Atomic Energy Employees" calling on Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh to thank him for sanctioning pension benefits as desired by them, at New Delhi.

NEW DELHI, July 10: A deputation of National Federation of Atomic Energy Employees, led by its Working President M.B.Vijaya Kumar, called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh at his office here and thanked him for sanctioning in their favour, pension benefits according to the earlier pension scheme, as desired by them. This landmark decision, they said, has been unanimously hailed by the 24,000 workforce of Atomic Energy employees spread all over the country with headquarters in Mumbai, and will directly benefit at least 195 serving employees.
Vijay Kumar said, they were particularly overwhelmed by the prompt and positive response of the Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh whom they had approached with their grievance during the last session of Parliament in March and within just three months, he had not only got the follow up done but also ensured that letters to this effect were duly circulated to all of them. He also appreciated the Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) for constituting a Committee to undertake individual case by case disposal for conversion of CPF into GPF.
Acknowledging the gesture, Dr Jitendra Singh said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the approach of the present government is always to facilitate a conducive and comfortable work – environment for government officials so that they can give their best without any stress or hassles.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is a matter of great satisfaction that in the year when we are observing the Diamond Jubilee of the establishment of Mumbai’s “Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC)” by late Dr Homi Bhabha, the officials working in the organization have come forward to acknowledge the Government’s decision in recognition of their services. He also mentioned, with delight, some of the other recent decisions taken by the Department to explore the utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
