UDHAMPUR, July 10: Police today arrested a man with 40 poly pouches of illicit liquor in Sudhmahadev area of Udhampur district.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Abdul Latif alias Shunga, son of Mohd Shafi, a resident of Choka Nallah, was intercepted on suspicion at naka point at Sudhmahadev. During search, 40 poly pouches of JK desi whisky were found from his possession.
The arrest was made by a police team led by incharge police post, Shudhmahadev, SI Khyati Maan Khajuria. A case under relevant sections of Excise Act has been registered against the accused at concerned police station, where another FIR against the accused in same offence had beenalready registered few months back.
