JKNPP protests against new recruitment policy, enhanced duration of B Ed course

UDHAMPUR, July 11:  Demanding roll back of new recruitment policy as well as decision on enhancing B Ed course duration, Panthers Party workers of district Udhampur today took out a protest march.
Led by JKNPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia, the protesting Panthers raised slogans in support of their demands and warned a mass agitation against alleged anti-Jammu, anti-youth policies of the PDP-BJP Government.
After a protest march to Dy  Commissioner’s office, the JKNPP activist also staged a demonstration there and blocked the Dhar Road for around one hour.
While addressing the gathering, Mankotia strongly criticized the Government for adopting double standards in respect of  B Ed course duration as well as eligibility criteria in two universities of the State with same Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and the Ministry of Higher Education. He appealed Governor  N N Vohra, who is also the Chancellor of  both the universities, to  fix the same time frame of B  Ed Course duration for both the regions of the State  so that the students and youth of Jammu province may not feel ignored and  depressed.
Mr  Mankotia further alleged that the new recruitment policy was a cruel joke with educated unemployed youth of the State. “BJP in Government with PDP has not only formulated anti youth  new recruitment policy but also ousted 62000 Daily wager who were working in different department including PHE, PWD, PDD etc,” he said.
Mr  Mankotia appealed the Chief Minister to roll back the new recruitment policy and regularize the  daily wagers who  are sitting on Dharna at different places for getting their pending salaries.
Others, who addressed, included Ram Pal, Rakesh Sharma, Subash Singh and Hoshiar Singh.
