Bootlegger arrested with 40 pouches of illicit liquor

JAMMU, July 11: Police today arrested a bootlegger with 40 pouches of illicit liquor in Pallanwala area of Akhnoor Tehsil.
According to a police spokesperson, the accused identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Janak Raj, a resident of Sujwal Khara was intercepted on suspicion at Pallanwala naka point during which 40 pouches of desi excise liquor were recovered from him.
The accused was arrested and liquor seized by the police. In this connection, a case under 48 Excise Act has been registered at police station Khour.
The arrest and recovery was made by SI Vishal Dogra, in-charge, police post Pallanwalla and SHO Khour, SI Iqbal Chagata under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Naresh Singh and SSP Jammu, Rajeev Pandey.
