SRINAGAR, July 12: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, visited Lal Ded and G.B. Pant Hospitals and reviewed the medicare facilities being provided to the new born babies and women.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar, Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Pampori and other officers.
Dr. Samoon also took stock of ongoing development works at Lal Ded Hospital where a drainage system for dewatering and a park is under construction.
He also visited various wards of Lal Ded Hospital and also inspected the Blood Bank Ward and the Child Care Ward, where the oxygen and other medical facilities are being provided to new born babies.
Dr. Samoon also visited the G.B. Pant Children Hospital at Sonwar and took stock of functioning of the hospital. He visited various wards of the hospital and interacted with patients about medical facilities. He directed the hospital management for further improving medicare facilities.
Later, Div Com convened a meeting of Medical Superintendents of G.B. Pant and Lal Ded Memorial Hospitals.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone and Principal Government Medical College, Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Pampori and other doctors were also present in the meeting.
