Governor, CM greet people on Shab-i-Qadr

SRINAGAR, July 14: Governor N. N. Vohra, has felicitated the people on Shab-i-Qadr.
In a message of greetings, the Governor hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has also felicitated people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, also known as Lyla-tul-Qadr, the holy night when people congregate to pray to Almighty Allah seeking His forgiveness.
Highlighting the importance of Shab-e-Qadr, the Chief Minister, in his message, stated that the holy night in which Almighty Allah revealed the Glorious Qu’ran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the guidance of mankind, has given us an opportunity to seek His mercy and blessings.
Mufti Sayeed prayed for betterment of the people and hoped that the holy night would bring Allah’s generosity to all. He also prayed that the auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace and prosperity in the state.
The Chief Minister directed the Divisional Administrations to ensure that all facilities are provided to the people especially on account of transportation, water supply and electricity during the night of prayers. He also asked the management of J&K Wakaf Board to provide required facilities at Asar-e-Sharief, Hazratbal, and other places of worship, which are thronged by devotees in large numbers.
