MLA holds interaction with Sarpanchs, Panchs

KISHTWAR, July 14:  Member Legislative Assembly Inderwal,  G M Saroori  had an interactive meeting with Sarpanchs and Panchs of  Chatroo and Mugalmaidan blocks in Kishtwar  today.
The MLA  said that the objective of the interaction was to assess the genuine problems being faced by the people of rural areas of the district, so that these could be addressed.  He gave them detailed information about decisions taken in the recently held District Development Board meetings of Doda and Kishtwar.
The Sarpanchs and Panchs projected various problems and demands like better road connectivity, adequate availability of ration, better electricity, early distribution of Solar lights among real beneficiaries according to guidelines set by Government.  They also requested MLA Inderwal to direct BDOs for payment of only un-skilled work and it should be made within a two days time.
Saroori informed in the meeting that Rupees 1.60 crore have been sanctioned for the construction of concrete wall around the Chatroo nallah so that the area is protected from the havoc of the water besides Rs 1.50 crore were  sanctioned for the construction of washed away portion of circular road, Chatroo.
The MLA asked the DDC Kishtwar and Doda to ensure availability of basic amenities like drinking water, ration, essential commodities, un-interrupted power supply and hassle-free transport to the people on the eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr in Sub-Division Chatroo, Thakrie, Keshwan, Sarthal, Saroor, Drabshallah, Kandani, Kandoth, Bunjwah, Patnazi, Thathri, Phigsoo, Khara, Bhatyas, Jakyas, Bhalessa and other areas of districts Kishtwar and Doda.
