JAMMU, July 17: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sukhnandan Kumar Chaudhary today visited the Central University in Bagla (Raya Suchani) and took stock of its functioning.
During his visit, the Minister was apprised about the progress of construction of allied works. He asked the varsity authorities to monitor the construction works regularly and advised for widening of approach road from highway to campus. He stressed upon the executing authorities to ensure quality of work strictly as per the specifications.
He also assured the Vice Chancellor of the University for extending all necessary support to the institution for its establishment and creating state of the art infrastructure.
Responding to the issues raised by the University authorities, the minister assured that he would take up the same with the concerned departments for meeting the immediate requirements.
Earlier, the VC, Prof. Ashok Aima introduced the faculty members and other senior officials of the university to the Minister.
