JAMMU, July 17: A 55-year old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesperson, the man identified as Satish Kumar son of Chaman Lal, a resident of Rohi Marh, Gadigarh allegedly hanged himself at his residence, this evening.
The body of the deceased was found hanging by his wife, who informed other family members and the concerned police.
On getting information, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
As no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police has registered a case and initiated proceedings under 174 Cr PC.000
