SAMBA, July 17 BSP activists staged a protest demonstration near Samba Chowk today in protest against the failure of the State Government to pay compensation to the people whose houses and standing crops were damaged in recent floods.
The demonstration was led by Ex MLA and senior BSP leader Somnath Manyal and it was attended by a large number of BSP workers.
Addressing the protestors Mr Manyal alleged that the State Government has failed on all fronts and he expressed his serious concern over water scarcity and power crisis in Samba district.
He said no improvement has been seen in water supply and power and it worsened after the coalition took over. The BSP leaders demanded immediate compensation to people whose houses and crops were damaged in flash floods and also demanded improvement in power and water supply.
