JAMMU, July 18: Six persons including a one and a half years old baby were injured in two separate road mishaps that occurred in Domana and Bajalta area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, three persons including a woman, her 22-years-old son and one and a half year old granddaughter were injured when the bike they were travelling on was hit by a car at Domana area of city outskirts.
The injured has been identified as Rani Devi (40) wife of Kuldeep Singh, her son namely Surinder Singh and grand-daughter, Jigar. They were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment
The mishap occurred this evening at about 5.40 pm when a Maruti 800 Car bearing registration JK02T-1433, which was on its way from Jammu to Akhnoor, hit a bike coming from opposite side near Army gate at Domana.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Domana and the vehicles involved in the mishap seized. However, the accused car driver managed to escape leaving behind his vehicle.
Another mishap occurred this evening at Bajalta where three persons were injured in the collision of a car and a two-wheeler. The injured identified as Mohd-ud-Din (45) son of Noor Hussain of Bajalta, Shakeel (22) son of Preet Husssain of Sarwal and Sheru, a resident of Sidhra, were rushed to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
