JAMMU, Aug 17: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of its president, Ashok Gupta took out a procession from Vegetable Market, Purani Mandi to City Chowk against AD, CAPD Department, for non-availability of ration in the Government Depots of old city.
While addressing the gathering, Gupta stated that the dealers are selling the LPG cylinders in black to the owners of vehicle that run with LPG, leading to shortage of LPG cylinders in the market.
He alleged that there is no proper schedule to supply the ration in the depots by the Government and the dealers taking advantage of this delay in supplies, sell the ration in black.
Forty-one percent people in the State are below poverty line as per the latest survey but there is no policy and programme to redress the non-availability of ration, he maintained adding the Government should supply ration as per proper schedule, leaving no chance to the dealers to sell the ration in black. He also demanded action against those found guilty of black marketing.
