Kumbh Mela: Railways to run 20 special trains

MUMBAI, July 20:
To clear extra rush of passengers on account of Kumbh Mela being celebrated in Nashik, the Central Railway (CR) has decided to run 20 special trains between Pune and Kamakhya.
Train no 02511 weekly special train will leave Pune at 10.30 AM every Thursday from 30 July to October 1 (10 trips) and arrive Kamakhya at 3.25 PM on third day i.E. Saturday, a statement issued by CR said today.
While, train no 02512 weekly special train will leave Kamakhya at 10.05 PM on every Monday from 27 July to 28 September (10 trips) and will arrive Pune at 02.45 AM on fourth day i.E. Thursday, it added.
The train would have one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tier, 9 sleeper class and 2 second class coaches.
It would halt at Panvel, Nasik Road, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Purulia, Joychandipahar junction, Asansol, Andal, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Golpara Town.
Train No 02511 will run as fully reserved special train on special charges and bookings.
For this train 02511 leaving from 30 July to 17 September, bookings have already started at all Passenger Reservation System locations and through internet. (PTI)
